The Beer Pong World Cup
OVERVIEW
BPWC is an invitational tournament where ping pong balls are thrown across a field (table).
Teams hope to land a ball in one of several cups of beer on the other end. Each game has two
country specific teams at either end of the field. Each country team has 2 teammates, usually co-ed
for fairness and to encourage hotties to get drunk. At each end of the table 10 plastic cups are
arranged in a triangle formation with the 1 cup row closest to the opponent. Then each triangle
formation is filled with two 12oz beers.
PLAY
The match begins with a coin toss to determine the starting team and a defending side is chosen. Then each
team member throws a ball. After 2 shots (one by each team member) then the other country team begins their
shooting round. When a ping pong ball lands in an opponent's cup, the defending team must drink that cup's beer. Then
the defending country must remove that cup from the triangle. Play continues alternating between teams until all 10 cups
of one side are eliminated. The losing team must consume all the beer remaining in the winning country team's cups.
TOURNAMENT
To begin with, teams are placed into groupings for round-robin match play. After which, tournament seedings are posted.
The tournament may be either double or single elimination elemination depending on participating countries.
